Zoom has created a feature called Intelligent Director for its Zoom Rooms service, which uses artificial intelligence and multiple cameras to capture the faces of participants, ensuring that everyone in the online meeting can be presented in the best picture and angle and can be clearly seen.
Intelligent Director is designed primarily for medium-sized and larger meeting rooms. It uses multiple cameras to freeze the faces of up to 16 people in a Zoom Room online meeting. Leveraging Zoom's AI technology, it automatically selects the optimal video streaming method. Even if participants move around or turn their heads, it can still capture the best possible view of everyone, allowing remote participants to see everyone in the room more clearly.
This update expands upon Zoom Smart Gallery, which previously enabled each participant in small and medium-sized meeting rooms to have their own personalized view during a meeting using a single camera and artificial intelligence technology. Intelligent Director expands upon this technology and is now suitable for larger meeting rooms and larger numbers of participants.
The Intelligent Director feature is compatible with Zoom-supported computers, remote controls, cameras, and other products from Apple, AVer, Dell, HP | Poly, Intel, Logitech, and Yealink, enabling a more realistic hybrid conferencing experience.
