At this year's Zoomtopia 2023 annual user conference, Zoom will use AI as the core to drive the innovative development of its one-stop platform, help users complete work tasks more efficiently, and improve the effectiveness of online meeting communications.
The Zoom Docs service announced this time and expected to be officially launched in 2024 will use AI to tightly integrate Zoom Docs with Zoom and third-party applications, thereby improving the ability of teams or individuals to create documents, and through online collaborative processing and management, the AI function can be used to turn Zoom Meetings chat content into a draft document, and through the Zoom AI Companion automatic generation assistant service, document content can be automatically generated, or quickly summarized and concluded, making documents easier to search and manage.
The new Whiteboard feature in Zoom AI Companion's automated assistant service allows users to quickly discuss and organize related ideas, automatically summarizing and categorizing them through AI. Zoom AI Companion is also used to summarize meeting content in Zoom Meetings and Team Chats, and to help draft emails in Zoom Mail. Paid users can use it at no additional cost.
Separately, Zoom announced that it will acquire Workvivo, an employee communications platform, this year to help teams better communicate. In the coming weeks, Workvivo users will be able to access Workvivo features directly through the Zoom web app, enabling companies to continuously and effectively increase employee engagement globally.
The Workspace Reservation service, designed for hybrid work models and allowing users to easily choose locations close to key collaborators, will add a new Wayfinding feature in 2024, allowing employees unfamiliar with the office to easily find their workstations by viewing a map on their phone. Huddles, a virtual shared office space service that brings remote and in-person employees together, is expected to launch the My Office View in Huddles feature in 2024, allowing teams to quickly track each employee's location using member status and location information.
In terms of communication and collaboration, Zoom continues to launch new features to simplify the pre-meeting preparation process, including Zoom Calendar, Team Chats, and the recently launched Zoom Scheduler.
Among them, the new features of Zoom Scheduler optimize calendar management. Users can send one-time meeting appointment links, add branding to the meeting appointment page, and support multiple accounts, making it easier for users to view other accounts' schedules to facilitate meeting scheduling. Users can also use Zoom Scheduler to add each meeting host to a separate schedule to avoid meeting conflicts between different teams and regions.
At the same time, Zoom Scheduler and Salesforce will also be integrated, allowing administrative assistants or other support colleagues to book meeting times directly through Zoom Scheduler and obtain meeting records in the Salesforce service.
Zoom's AI tools and customer solutions allow customer service teams to strengthen relationships with customers across geographical boundaries. AI Expert Assist uses automated artificial intelligence to record conversations, instantly adjusting and providing contextually aligned content. This allows customer service teams to more quickly understand customer-related information and effectively streamline workflows. Internal managers can also leverage AI Expert Assist's recommendations to reduce manual labor costs and identify opportunities for optimal management across all teams.
Many businesses are actively expanding their multi-channel communication to achieve customized and efficient customer engagement and enhance brand loyalty. To this end, Zoom Virtual Agent and Zoom Contact Center will integrate with WhatsApp and Messenger in the coming months.
On the other hand, marketers will be able to write email invitations in Zoom Events through automatically generated artificial intelligence. At the same time, the lobby chat function will be launched in the coming months, and the new session function is expected to be launched next year to provide marketers with more support before and during the event.
