Finnish sportswear brand Polar has officially launched two new wearable devices in Taiwan: the Polar Loop, a lightweight fitness tracker that features "no screen and zero monthly fee," and the Polar Vantage M3 GPS sports watch, designed for advanced sports and outdoor exploration.
Polar Loop: Stripping away the screen and subscription model, returning to pure, unobtrusive recording.
In recent years, screenless health tracking devices have become very popular in the market, mainly because they reduce digital interference and provide a more comfortable wearing experience during sleep.
The newly launched Polar Loop capitalizes on this trend, featuring a minimalist design with no screen or physical buttons, paired with a soft nylon wristband and a slim buckle to minimize any discomfort when wearing it. Through its built-in sensors, the Polar Loop provides all-day heart rate monitoring, HRV (heart rate variability) tracking, sleep analysis, and automatically records exercise activity and the body's fatigue recovery process.
Unlike many similar products on the market that adopt a dual pricing model of "hardware purchase plus software subscription," Polar Loop's biggest highlight is its "one-time purchase, zero monthly fee." Users only need to pair it with the Polar Flow App to unlock all full health data analysis, automatic detection, and voice guidance features. In terms of battery life, Loop offers up to 8 days of battery life and supports storing up to 4 weeks of data offline, effectively reducing anxiety about frequent charging.
Polar Vantage M3 GPS: Powered by Dual-Frequency Positioning and Top-Tier Sensing Technology
For advanced trainees who need to accurately monitor their athletic performance, Polar has also launched the Vantage M3 GPS sports watch.
In contrast to the Loop's minimalist design, the Vantage M3 is packed with features. It boasts a 1.28-inch AMOLED display and retains physical buttons for easy operation during intense workouts. Weighing only 53 grams, it includes dual-frequency GPS and offline mapping capabilities, supporting over 150 sports modes.
In terms of sensing technology, the Vantage M3 is equipped with Polar's top-of-the-line Elixir biosensing technology, including fourth-generation optical heart rate tracking, wrist electrocardiogram (ECG), nighttime skin temperature measurement, and SpO2 blood oxygen saturation measurement. Even with training mode enabled, it still provides up to 30 hours of battery life, ensuring uninterrupted recording for long-distance outdoor exploration and competitions.
