GoogleExplainStarting next year, paid online course content will be added to YouTube, allowing creators who can provide in-depth and systematic teaching content to gain more monetization channels.
Creators can provide viewing for free or for an additional fee according to their personal settings, and users will not be disturbed by other advertising content during the viewing process. Creators can even interact with users through online tests and other interactions.
In launching this feature, Google stated that as many as 93% of users on YouTube are looking for information and learning more knowledge, so it believes that this trend can increase the possibility of more service development.
The "Player for Education" feature will be tested first in the United States and South Korea and is expected to be launched next year. It will allow creators to provide more in-depth and systematic teaching content, and provide ad-free and background playback mode.
In terms of content, Google also plans to cooperate with well-known educational institutions in the United States, including interactive learning video content provider EDpuzzle, Purdue University, etc.
In fact, many creators and educational institutions already use YouTube to provide educational videos and increase revenue through advertising. Google's launch of this feature is expected to capitalize on this trend and increase YouTube's monetization opportunities.
