At its annual creative conference Adobe Max 2025, Adobe not only announcedA series of AI-related updates, and announced a partnership with Google to bring the core features of its mobile video editing tool Adobe Premiere mobile directly toIntegrate into the YouTube Shorts creation processin.
This move is clearly YouTube's latest strategy to further strengthen the content creation capabilities of the Shorts platform to cope with competition from TikTok and Instagram Reels.
One-click jump to Premiere Mobile editing, integrated with Firefly AI
According to Adobe, YouTube creators will see an "Edit in Adobe Premiere" button in the Shorts editing interface. Clicking this button will allow them to directly access the professional editing tools provided by Premiere mobile, including:
• Adobe's rich editing features (such as multi-track editing, color grading, etc.)
• Generative sound effects
• Various AI functions driven by Firefly AI models
Premiere mobile was launched on the iOS platform in September this year, but creators still needed to "export" content before uploading it to YouTube for subsequent creation. This deep integration will undoubtedly greatly simplify the workflow.
Provides Shorts exclusive special effects, presets and templates
In addition to importing the core functions of Premiere mobile, Adobe also stated that it will provide "exclusive" options for YouTube Shorts creators, including a series of exclusive special effects, presets and transitions.
