The Xperia XZ Premium's Motion Eye camera module offers predictive focus shooting for improved image capture, as well as the ability to record engaging 960fps super slow-motion videos. Sony Mobile also explained that the new camera's design aims to allow users to capture beautiful images with simple operation without overexposing bright details or losing true black depth due to night correction. It also reduces glare and false color even during daytime shooting.
Previously, Sony Mobile explained the new cameraAdopting technologyWe also used the Xperia XZ Premium engineering test machine to take test shots on the streets of Japan to experience the actual performance of the new camera.
During actual testing, perhaps due to the nature of the engineering test machine, some bright-light shooting situations caused the system to take a longer time to determine the light source. During this time, the camera's user interface would not display or operate normally. This issue is expected to be further corrected after the new model is released.
As for image capture, the new sensor design does make it easier to capture image details in bright light environments, but nighttime shooting may still cause excessive noise in dark areas, but it's not unacceptable.
