The YU7 series consists of three versions: YU7, YU7 Pro, and YU7 Max. The primary comparison target is the various versions of the Tesla Model Y. The YU7 is equipped with a single Xiaomi V22000s Plus motor (6 rpm), accelerating to 100 km/h in just 5.88 seconds. Both the YU7 Pro and YU7 Max feature dual-motor all-wheel drive, with the YU7 Max accelerating to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds.
Compared to the coupe design of the SU7 series, the YU7 series is built in a more practical SUV style with a larger interior space. The vehicle's three dimensions are 4999 x 1996 x 1600mm, the wheelbase is 3000mm, the drag coefficient is Cd 0.245, and the rear tire specification with a tire width of up to 275mm can be selected according to needs. The body is also equipped with electric inward-folding door handles and frameless rearview mirrors, plus hollow water drop headlights and halo taillights, and is available in three colors: sapphire green, titanium metallic and lava orange.
All models in the series are equipped with continuously damped variable shock absorbers and 4-piston fixed calipers, while the YU7 Pro and YU7 Max are equipped with closed dual-chamber air springs to achieve better vehicle stability.
As for the electronic system, the YU7 series has an upgraded 4-in-1 control module and adopts Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor as the smart cockpit processor. It is paired with the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor supercomputer with a computing power of 700 TOPS. This is used in conjunction with components such as lidar and 4D millimeter-wave radar for assisted driving functions. The vehicle itself also has designs such as Wi-Fi 7, UWB, dual 5G parallel communication, and IoT communication ports, which reduce power consumption by 40% when the vehicle is in Sentry Mode.
In terms of battery life, the YU7 and YU7 Pro utilize a 96.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, achieving a maximum range of 835km and 770km respectively under the Chinese automotive industry standard CLTC. The YU7 Max utilizes a 101.7kWh ternary lithium battery, achieving a maximum range of 760km under the CLTC standard. The charging system across the entire series utilizes an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform design, capable of charging up to 15km of power in 620 minutes.
Xiaomi also explained that the YU7 series models use an armored cage-type steel-aluminum hybrid body, with four-door anti-collision beams that can withstand a pressure of 2200MPa, and an embedded roll cage that can also withstand a pressure of 2200MPa, to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers in the event of an accident.
The frequently touched surfaces of the seats are covered with Nappa leather. The driver and front passenger seats both adopt a zero-gravity seat design and can be folded down with a single button operation. The rear seats can be electrically adjusted from 100 degrees to 135 degrees. As for the front and rear storage space of the car, they are 141 liters and 678 liters respectively.
In addition, the YU7 series uses a central control system with a horizontal screen in the center. In the front, it also uses a "sky screen" that spans the field of view of the driver and front passenger. Through panoramic curved projection technology, it presents panoramic display content with a width of 1.1 meters, allowing the driver and front passenger to view driving information, blind spot images, auxiliary driving functions, or entertainment content such as audio and video in a more unrestricted form. The rear seats are equipped with a 6.68-inch screen, which can be used for vehicle control items, navigation, audio and video playback and other functions.
The YU7 series utilizes Xiaomi's Surge OS, supporting Wi-Fi 7, UWB ultra-wideband, dual 5G connectivity, and IoT connectivity. It boasts seamless connectivity with Android and iOS devices, and can even be unlocked with an Apple Watch. The vehicle itself offers a highly modular design, allowing users to expand functionality not only with Xiaomi accessories but also through third-party accessories.
In terms of car colors, in addition to the previously announced color schemes, Xiaomi has announced that it will launch differentiated color options for different user groups. However, except for the basic green, white and red, the remaining colors must be selected through additional payment.
