The suspected new version of the Xiaomi Home store design has been exposed, which shows that Xiaomi will use the Xiaomi Home to display the products launched in the first half of 2024.electric car.
However, given the significant display space required for electric vehicles, the new store design is expected to be used in flagship stores or designated locations. Xiaomi will free up more space to showcase its existing products, making it easier for consumers to appreciate and view electric vehicles, and even experience their various functions from within.
Prior to this, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch electric vehicles in the first half of 2024, and emphasized investing a lot of money and technical talents in research and development. At the same time, it has also conducted road tests a few days ago.
Earlier, documents from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed the actual appearance and model names of Xiaomi's upcoming electric vehicles, which will be called the SU7 and SU7 Pro/Max. The two vehicles measure 4997 x 1963 x 1455mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and 4997 x 1963 x 1440mm in height. Both have a 3000mm wheelbase and feature a panoramic sunroof. Optional LiDAR, various wheel sizes, and caliper colors are available. The SU7 Pro/Max models also feature a three-stage adjustable electric rear spoiler.
The SU7 utilizes lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by Xiangyang Fudi and features ABS braking system components from Bosch. The SU7 and SU7 Pro/Max utilize ternary lithium-ion batteries from CATL and also utilize ABS braking system components from Bosch. The SU7's motor has a peak power of 220kW and a top speed of 210 kilometers per hour, while the SU7 Pro/Max's motors have peak power of 220kW and 275kW, respectively, and a top speed of 265 kilometers per hour.
As for the vehicle's appearance, it seems to be designed by a former BMW iX series designer and assembled and manufactured at Xiaomi's smart factory in Yizhuang, Beijing. It is expected to be officially launched in the first half of 2024, and it will use self-developed chips and in-vehicle system architecture.
Market analysts believe that the actual selling price of Xiaomi's electric car will be less than RMB 30, and the initial sales volume will be between 5 and 6 units. At the same time, the current Chinese electric car market has begun to shift to software design, autonomous driving, and sales model competition. This is relatively advantageous for Xiaomi, which excels in building a market ecosystem. It is expected that Xiaomi's electric car will focus on designs such as autonomous driving, software ecosystem, fast battery charging, and power configuration.
