Announced successivelyXiaomi Mi 12S series cooperation news with Leica and SonyXiaomi earlier announced that it has developed its own Surge G1 battery management chip, which will enable Xiaomi 12S to have longer battery life.
Prior to this, Xiaomi has launched the self-made chips Surge P1 and Surge C1, which correspond to charging and image computing needs respectively. The Surge G1 announced this time is suitable for battery management needs, and is expected to enable Xiaomi 12S to have better battery life performance.
According to the information revealed so far, the Surge G1 will apparently only be used in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra to achieve better battery power management and provide longer phone usage time.
The Surge G1 can monitor subtle changes in the battery when the phone is dropped or impacted. It can also analyze battery usage data during charging and rapid discharge through temperature changes, thereby ensuring normal battery operation and extending battery life through algorithms.
Xiaomi emphasizes that the Surge G1 can monitor battery usage every minute, making the analysis results more accurate and dynamically adjusting the battery discharge mode to extend the overall usage time by 3-5%.
In addition, in conjunction with the previously launched Surge P1, Xiaomi emphasized that the Xiaomi 12S will have higher battery management performance, thereby achieving faster charging and longer battery life experience.
