Xiaomi's POCO brand unveiled the POCO F3 series flagship models in Singapore today (March 27th). The POCO F7 Ultra and POCO F7 Pro are both available, offering high-performance experiences at affordable prices.
The POCO F7 Ultra and POCO F7 Pro feature glass backs crafted using advanced glossy and matte glass technology. The upper half of the back is glossy, while the lower half is matte. For the first time, a seamless top design is introduced to blend with the matte metal middle frame. The back adopts a circular split design and is equipped with an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy decorative ring surrounding the camera, emphasizing the symmetrical aesthetic and creating a visual tension that combines speed and power.
Other designs include support for IP68 dust and water resistance. The POCO F7 Ultra uses POCO Dragon Crystal Glass to enhance durability to prevent drops and scratches, while the POCO F7 Pro uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to strengthen the glass to protect the screen.
The POCO F7 Ultra is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and POCO's first independent display chip, the VisionBoost D7. It can provide extremely smooth 120FPS display stability through the Smart Interpolation function, and supports clearer 2K super resolution display function and game HDR technology. It can maintain high resolution, stable frame rate and HDR picture performance when watching content from streaming video services such as YouTube and Netflix.
In addition, the POCO F7 Ultra is equipped with the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 operating system and integrates the three core technologies of Xiaomi HyperCore, Xiaomi HyperConnect and Xiaomi HyperAI to maintain system fluency and seamless cross-platform connection, while also supporting Google Gemini artificial intelligence services.
The POCO F7 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 operating system, and is advertised to provide a more stable gaming experience.
In terms of battery life, the POCO F7 Ultra features a 5300mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge fast charging, fully charging the phone in just 34 minutes. It also supports 50W HyperCharge wireless fast charging. The POCO F7 Pro, on the other hand, has a 6000mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge fast charging. Like the POCO F7 Ultra, both are equipped with the Surge P3 charging chip and the Surge G1 battery management chip, claiming to maintain over 1600% battery life after over 80 charge cycles.
The POCO F7 Ultra boasts the most advanced imaging system yet in the POCO series, including POCO's most powerful HDR wide-angle lens in the main camera, the first flagship-level floating telephoto lens, and the highest-pixel ultra-wide-angle lens in the F series. The main camera covers a total of 8 classic focal lengths, providing greater shooting flexibility.
The 5000-megapixel wide-angle lens uses the Xiaomi Mi Light Hunter 800 series sensor, providing vivid and detailed photos even in low-light conditions. It also offers four practical focal lengths, including 35mm for everyday photography and 48mm for easily capturing classic portraits.
The 5000-megapixel floating telephoto lens opens up even more creative possibilities, easily capturing exquisite 10cm macro details while also capturing distant scenes to preserve even more detail. Meanwhile, the 3200-pixel ultra-wide-angle lens, with its 120-degree field of view, allows users to easily capture clear panoramas and group photos.
The POCO F7 Ultra's AISP algorithm integrates CPU, GPU, NPU, and ISP computing resources through Xiaomi HyperOS, improving image processing efficiency through seamless integration of hardware and software. The 20x UltraZoom Beta function captures images with vivid telephoto details, while the UltraSnap function supports rapid continuous shooting, processing each photo in real time with a comprehensive algorithm to provide up to 150 photos with consistent image clarity.
The POCO F7 Pro's main camera features a 5000-megapixel wide-angle lens, also powered by the Xiaomi Light Hunter 800 sensor, for vibrant, highly detailed photos. The 800-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens easily captures expansive landscapes and group photos. The POCO F7 Pro also features the POCO AISP algorithm and UltraSnap burst mode, along with a dual-focus portrait mode for both wide-angle and classic shots.
Both phones are equipped with features such as Dynamic Shots, which can make still images come alive, and add more rich and practical artificial intelligence imaging functions.
Xiaomi Taiwan announced that the POCO F7 Series will be available for pre-order at 3:31 noon on March 12st through Xiaomi Mall mi.com, PChome 24-hour shopping Xiaomi flagship store, Shopee Mall Xiaomi official flagship store, momo shopping network Xiaomi flagship store, Eastern Shopping Xiaomi flagship store, 7-ELEVEN i pre-order Xiaomi flagship store, and Senao online.
