At the recent Human-Car-Home Ecosystem Partner Conference, Xiaomi announced that it would open up its own Surge Charge protocol so that all vehicle and parts manufacturers can directly use it.
Xiaomi began to authorize the use of the Pengpai fast charging protocol in 2021, initially opening it up to vehicle manufacturers for cooperation. So far, more than 800 million authorized fast charging modules have been authorized for production, covering 30 vehicle manufacturers and more than 160 models of vehicles.
This announcement provides open authorization, allowing all vehicle and accessory manufacturers to directly access it. Power accessories and power banks including Anker and Romoss (Shenzhen ROMOSS) will adopt the Xiaomi Surge Charge protocol to create fast-charging products, corresponding to 33W and 55W fast charging respectively.
In addition to announcing the opening of the Pengpai instant charging agreement, Xiaomi also announced its cooperation with Volcano Engine at the Human-Car-Home All-Ecosystem Partner Conference. It is expected to integrate Volcano Engine's Doubao large-scale natural language model with Xiaomi's artificial intelligence technology to promote richer artificial intelligence application services.
Prior to collaborating with Xiaomi, Volcano Engine had also collaborated with Lenovo to integrate its Doubao large-scale natural language model with Lenovo's artificial intelligence desktop assistant "Ruyi" (AI Stick), corresponding to smoother natural language interaction performance.
In addition, Xiaomi also announced that Vela, an open source IoT software platform proposed in 2020 to break the fragmentation of IoT device connections, currently has more than 1 partners and more than 200 product categories launched on the market. At the same time, Xiaomi's global monthly active users have exceeded 6.86 million, and Xiaomi Pengpai OS is used more than 4000 million times per day on average, and the number of Xiaomi IoT device connections has exceeded 8.6 million.
