Since launching its first self-made processor in 2017Pengpai S1After the Mi 5c launched that year, Xiaomi has continued to release in-house processors, but most of them have been tailored to meet needs like image processing and battery management. News came out in October last year that Chinese government officials revealed that Xiaomi had successfully taped out its mobile phone chip built using a 10nm process, which is obviously the self-made mobile phone processor "Xuanjie O3" mentioned by Lei Jun this time.

Relevant statements indicate that Xiaomi's self-made processor is produced based on TSMC's N4P process, adopts an 8-core, three-computing cluster design, and its performance is close to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and can even be compared with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Prior to this, Xiaomi has launched a number of self-made processors, and used them for specific needs such as image processing and battery management. In addition, it has also deeply developed battery technology and camera systems, and even further launched highly customizedXiaomi Surge OS, thereby emphasizing the independent research and development characteristics of mobile phone products and reducing reliance on other people's technology.

Lei Jun said that this self-made processor will be launched in late May this year, and the market expects this processor to be used in Xiaomi 5S Pro.
