Apart from MIX Fold 3At Lei Jun's annual speech and new product launch event, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Tablet 14 Max with a 6-inch screen design, and also announced the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro, which was designed with watch-like design in mind.
Xiaomi emphasized that the Xiaomi Tablet 6 Max continues the design elements of the series models, mainly adopting a larger screen design. Compared with Apple and Samsung, it can provide a combination of tablet, stylus and keyboard accessories in a more cost-effective form.
It features an LCD screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 and a 120Hz refresh rate, and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It also comes with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of memory, including 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities. The battery capacity is 10000mAh and it is also equipped with the Xiaomi Surge G1 chip, which supports 67W wired fast charging and 33W wired reverse charging. The camera uses a 2000-megapixel video lens and can use the TOF lens to automatically keep the user centered on the video screen, or display the screen content only when there is someone in front of the screen. The main camera uses a 5000-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 200-megapixel depth-of-field lens.
As for accessories, it features a full-size keyboard and larger touchpad, similar to those found on PCs. Above the keyboard, there are 15 function keys for quick access to specific functions. The stylus features a screw-in tip, 5ms operation delay, 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, and an antibacterial body. It even functions as a virtual laser pointer when combined with the focus button, allowing users to highlight key points on presentation screens.
In terms of software functions, Xiaomi also claims that the top 200 commonly used apps in China are also compatible with the large-size screen of the Xiaomi Tablet 6 Max. It also supports the PC-level WPS Office software suite, which can correspond to up to 4 sets of window splits for collaborative work. Even when the camera is turned on, it will warn the user through the green indicator light above the screen to avoid affecting personal privacy.
In terms of suggested retail price, the Xiaomi Tablet 6 Max starts at RMB 3799, and is currently available at a discounted price of RMB 3599. The keyboard accessory is priced at RMB 799, and the stylus is priced at RMB 499. Whether the tablet is paired with a keyboard or with an additional stylus, there are initial promotional prices.
As for the newly launched Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro, it is also built with a watch concept and is advertised as being more seamless to wear. The screen has been increased from 1.64 inches on the previous generation to 1.74 inches. It also has built-in independent GPS, NFC, and dual-channel measurement components, which can respectively correspond to heart rate and blood oxygen measurement. It supports more than 150 types of sports records and also supports 5ATM waterproof specifications. Under standard conditions, the battery life can reach 14 days. If the screen is turned on all the time, the battery life will be reduced to 6 days.
In terms of suggested price, the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro will start at RMB 399. At the same time, Xiaomi also launched a new sports strap, as well as a new woven strap, a genuine leather quick-release strap and a Milanese strap made of metal.
