xAI recently announced a new approach combining large-scale natural language modelsGrok, a chatbot, and is now ready to be made available to "X" users who subscribe to Premium Plus.
Grok was created by Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup xAI, competing with OpenAI's ChatGPT. It's used in "X," formerly Twitter, and Tesla's assisted driving application services. Initially, it was only available to "X" users who subscribed to Premium Plus.
Grok, now available for use, is expected to grow as users (users named "X") continue to interact with it. It is trained using an automatically generated artificial intelligence model called Grok-1, which also incorporates human interaction data. Compared to other similar artificial intelligence services, Grok's greatest advantage is its ability to connect with "X's" data and update its database more quickly, enabling more timely responses and updated data content.
For example, "Grok" will be able to answer questions based on news and discussion content shared on the "X" platform, while OpenAI's ChatGPT or Google's "Bard" can mostly only respond to answers before a specific time point, or explain them with relatively vague terms, and even add a little humor that is in line with the "Elon Musk style".
However, in previous explanations, Elon Musk also emphasized that "Grok" cannot provide answers to specific illegal or privacy-related questions, such as "how to make cocaine."
Currently, "Grok" only supports interaction through text content, and has not yet added the ability to understand images, videos, sounds, etc. However, if nothing unexpected happens, xAI should also add the same application function in subsequent updates.
As for the purpose of launching "Grok", in addition to increasing more interactions on the "X" platform and enhancing the accuracy of content recommendations, the greater purpose is obviously to increase the stickiness of the "X" platform service usage and thereby increase the exposure of its advertising content.
