WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) announced earlier this yearQi2 wireless charging specification, and by Apple iniPhone 15 seriesAfter incorporating this design, brands including Belkin, Anker, Mophie, and Aircharge will launch products that also support the Qi2 standard design, and the number will exceed 100.
Compared to the first-generation Qi wireless charging standard, Qi2 primarily incorporates Apple's MagSafe magnetic interface design, increases charging power to 15W, supports wireless charging regardless of foreign objects, and improves compatibility with specific specifications, making wireless charging more convenient for users.
According to the WPC, wireless charging application products designed using the Qi2 specification will be launched in succession by the end of this year, with the number expected to exceed 100, and related design products will be provided by many brands.
As for listing Apple's MagSafe magnetic fixation design as a standard item, it is mainly to ensure the correct sensing position during wireless charging.
Furthermore, WPC anticipates that the cumulative number of wireless charging devices worldwide will reach 10 billion this year. The subsequent launch of Qi2 is expected to accelerate the development of wireless charging applications and spur the emergence of new wireless charging applications, enabling a wide range of products and devices to be recharged wirelessly.
