Whoscall, the digital fraud prevention software from Gogolook, announced a complete redesign today (September 9th). Built around a "growing fraud prevention community," it integrates AI technology and user reward mechanisms to create a more robust nationwide fraud prevention network. This update not only features a completely refreshed brand identity, but also adds community interaction, medals, and a reward system for tasks. It also introduces premium subscription plans for two and families, making fraud protection more affordable and easier to share with family and friends.
According to the "2025 Asia Fraud Survey Report: Taiwan," released by Whoscall, the Global Anti-Fraud Alliance (GASA), and ScamAdvisor, 72% of Taiwanese people have experienced fraud, an average of one scam every two days. Over XNUMX% of respondents reported experiencing anxiety or insomnia as a result. Fraud is not only a legal and financial issue, but has also become a public mental health concern. With fraud rings abusing AI technology, social media, and text messaging platforms, it's becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish authenticity from fraudulent online messages.
With the vision of "Born for Trust, Powered by You," Whoscall's new version proposes four core pillars: instant feedback from global users, AI prediction models, integration of partner data, and security checks in collaboration with police agencies, to create a more complete anti-fraud ecosystem.
The new brand identity features the letter "W" paired with a handshake image, symbolizing community unity, and introduces the interactive character "Vee", who acts as the user's digital fraud prevention advisor, enhancing product accessibility.
In terms of functionality, Whoscall has evolved from a simple caller identification tool into a comprehensive fraud prevention platform, supporting risk checks for calls, text messages, and websites, and allowing users to upload screenshots and photos for one-click fraud detection. The newly added "Badge System" in this revision encourages users to accumulate rewards and earn honors. The "Task Wall," launching in Q4, offers interactive tasks such as daily check-ins and inviting friends. Accumulating Whoscall Points can be redeemed for advanced versions or product vouchers, integrating fraud prevention into daily life and creating a positive cycle.
For families, Whoscall has announced the launch of two- and five-person family plans, with monthly fees of NT$155 and NT$295, respectively, and annual fees of NT$1390 and NT$2590, respectively. These plans offer an average price advantage over single-person plans. From now until October 10th, first-time subscribers can enjoy a 15% discount on their first year or month. For an annual family plan, this translates to only approximately NT$8 per person per year for complete fraud protection.
Guo Jianfu, co-founder and CEO of Gogolook, emphasized that Whoscall is more than just a tool; it's an anti-fraud partner that grows alongside its users. The company will continue to leverage AI technology, social interaction, and diverse collaborations to strengthen public awareness of fraud prevention and create a safer digital life. Gogolook will also collaborate with businesses and governments to promote anti-fraud education, and even open up brand sponsorships to encourage greater participation.
