After revealing that it would provide exclusive App messaging for iPad devices, Meta finally made WhatsApp compatible with iPad devices.Available on Apple App Store, making it easier for users to use WhatsApp functions through the larger screen of iPad.
The WhatsApp app for iPad devices has basically the same functions as the iPhone version. It also supports video or voice calls with up to 32 people online at the same time, and can also be used to shoot and share photos through the front and rear cameras of the device.
In terms of user experience, WhatsApp for iPad devices can be operated in conjunction with the multitasking interface of iPadOS, and can even meet multitasking needs through the "Stage Manager" function on specific iPad Pro models.
As for the input part, text can be input through the smart keyboard, or messages can be sent in handwritten form through Apple Pencil, so that users are no longer limited to manually inputting text on the relatively small screen of the iPhone.
Meta also stated that the usage content of the iPad version of WhatsApp can be synchronized with the versions used on iPhone and Mac devices, and that user information security is ensured through end-to-end encryption, and additional privacy protection features are added to the conversation content.
