There are market rumors that WhatsApp will launch a voice call function, but due to certain factors, the release may be delayed to the first quarter of 2015. Recent news has further revealed the specific interface of this function service, which will be similar to the interface of a normal phone call.
According toDutch website AndroidWorldWhatsApp has released a new feature called Voice Calling, which was released on its official website.
WhatsApp had been rumored to be preparing to launch a voice calling feature not long ago, but due to various factors, the launch was delayed until the first quarter of 2015. According to previous rumors, the WhatsApp voice calling feature is expected to operate via an Internet connection, allowing users to make and receive calls directly through their phones, as well as through Bluetooth headsets, and to record calls.
WhatsApp did not confirm the news and did not specify when the voice calling service would be launched.
Most of the competitors in the market, such as Skype and LINE, currently support Internet voice call services. However, if WhatsApp is acquired by Facebook, it may be able to use Facebook's servers and other resources to support the transmission of voice packets with relatively larger traffic, thereby providing more stable and clear call service quality.
