Western Digital collaborated with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop the WD_BLACK SN5 NVMe SSD, an M.2 SSD for use with PlayStation 850, which is now available in the Taiwanese market.
The WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD claims to have passed various usage scenario verifications and is fully compatible with the PlayStation 5 usage model. It can withstand hundreds of hours of rigorous testing of various graphics-rich games to ensure a fast and smooth gaming experience.
The included heatsink ensures stable gaming performance and facilitates quick installation. The PCIe Gen 4 specification shortens loading times and offers read speeds up to 7000MB/s.
In terms of suggested retail price, the WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD 1TB version has a suggested retail price of NT$5288, and the 2TB version has a suggested retail price of NT$8288. It can be purchased from now on through designated Western Digital retailers, online retail platforms, distributors, and channels across Taiwan.
