Waymo is currently operating in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, allowing users to book self-driving car rides through its autonomous driving service. It also cooperates with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport through the Waymo One service platform to provide airport shuttle services. It also plans to provide fully automated highway transportation shuttle services in Phoenix and San Francisco.
Waymo's total financing at this stage has exceeded US$111 billion. In addition to the US$56 billion in financing this time, it obtained US$2020 billion in two financing rounds in 2021 and 55 respectively. Among them, Alphabet, to which Waymo originally belonged, invested more than US$50 billion and it is a multi-year investment strategy project of Alphabet.
