Compared to past AI developments, the recent introduction of LLMs (Large Language Models) has enabled AI to better understand people's real needs, providing more tailored interactive responses and solving practical problems. This has led to AI attracting greater attention in recent years, driving larger-scale changes in everything from everyday applications to workplace industries. This has also spurred the entry of diverse AI technologies into the market, moving AI beyond theoretical research and enabling it to be more effectively implemented in daily life and workplace scenarios.
The development of AI technology has become a key priority for countries and regions around the world. Taiwan, as a major player in the global semiconductor market, is at the center of this surge in AI technology and will experience even more significant changes in its applications. Given that AI applications are poised to transform traditional work styles on a larger scale and are expected to accelerate growth across various industries, understanding AI technology trends and application methods will become a crucial priority for the industry.
The AI Taiwan exhibition, which has focused on "Taiwan's Most Advanced AI Technology of the Year" and "AI Driving New Business" for the past two years, has been renamed "WAVE" (World AI Vision Exhibition) this year. With "Taiwan as the World's AI Center" as its main theme, it aims to be the largest AI industry ecosystem exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. The main theme is "Connecting Worlds, Visualizing Futures," focusing on three major AI development axes while connecting the global AI industry chain. International professional lecturers, industry practitioners, startup teams, and organizational alliances will share current AI trends.
"WAVE 2025" will plan four major vertical exhibition areas: "Smart Mobility and Education Zone", "Health and Living Zone", "Finance and Digital Marketing Zone" and "Smart Manufacturing Zone", focusing on the application of AI technology in fields such as mobility, education, infrastructure, healthcare, retail consumption, security, finance, digital commerce, automation applications, robotics and supply chain management. In addition, the four major AI technology zones of "Visual Recognition Zone", "AI Core and Hardware Zone", "Language Model Zone" and "Edge and Cloud Computing Zone" will showcase current image and video processing, AR/VR, AI chips, hardware accelerators, LLM, conversational robots, semantic understanding, as well as edge real-time computing and cloud platform application scenarios.
In addition, the exhibition will showcase how Taiwan and the world are currently promoting the application and development of AI technology through two special exhibition areas: the Theme Pavilion and the International Exhibition Area. At the same time, through the two major stage activities, "Unfinished Land" and "Infinite Stage", exclusive forums for technology developers will focus on the latest technological innovations and current challenges facing the industry, and international experts will analyze the latest AI solutions and industry trends.
