Furthermore, Verge Motorcycles, a Finnish electric motorcycle brand, has also announced its support for the NACS, becoming the first electric motorcycle brand to adopt this standard.
In future developments, Electrify America will continue to offer the US CCS-1 DC charging specification, while also providing NACS charging specification connectors. The Electrify Canada charging network system operating in Canada will also follow the same adjustments in 2025, thereby keeping pace with the mainstream charging standards in the market and simplifying the charging threshold.
Currently, Electrify America and Electrify Canada have a total of 850 charging stations in the United States and Canada, and provide more than 4000 charging piles. They have also joined the national charging experience alliance ChargeX, hoping to promote and improve the electric vehicle charging experience. It is expected that the number of their charging stations will continue to expand in the future.
In addition to Volkswagen, Finnish electric motorcycle brand Verge Motorcycles has also announced that it will join the North American charging standard, thereby expanding the application of this standard to the electric motorcycle market.
The North American charging standard has been adopted by American automakers such as General Motors, Ford, and Rivian. It has also recently been adopted by electric car brand Polestar and Swedish automaker Volvo.SUPPORTTherefore, it is expected that the North American charging standard will become the mainstream specification in the market, and it will also accelerate the popularization of electric vehicles in North America.
