Regarding the previously proposedTanzu Product PortfolioVMware announced that it will launch the new 1.3 version of the Tanzu application platform in the second half of this year, and add the 2.0 version of Tanzu Kubernetes Grid. New management functions will also be added to the Tanzu Mission Control interface to extend the management efficiency of multi-cloud and multi-cluster Kubernetes containerized applications.
In addition, VMware will also launch Tanzu Application Service 10 in October this year, which will enhance existing service projects. In this cloud-based development model, VMware will focus on simplification, security, and multi-cloud control, and announced the launch of new versions of vSphere 8, vSAN 8, and Project Northstar preview content.

As for Project Northstar, which operates in the form of SaaS (Software as a Service) and is currently being previewed, it allows users of the existing NSX network security virtualization platform to build the required multi-cloud network architecture and ensure security and end-to-end visibility.
Other features include ensuring application-to-application access security with Project Watch and API access security with Project Trinidad. Furthermore, Cloud Foundation+ supports cloud connectivity architecture for managing and operating a complete hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) in the data center. Edge Compute Stack 2 also addresses the simplification and scalability requirements of edge computing.
At the Explore 2022 conference, VMware once again strengthened the capabilities of the Tanzu product portfolio and announced the launch of a new multi-cloud management product portfolio Aria, which will allow users to manage various cloud-native applications and infrastructure in an end-to-end manner across public and private clouds.
