VMware announced the Tanzu product portfolio at VMworld in 2019.Explore 2022Announced the launch of Aria, a multi-cloud management product portfolio. Through its graphical interface design, it allows users to more easily manage multi-cloud environment architecture, thereby reducing the difficulty of application deployment and subsequent management in multi-cloud environments.
Explore 2022 focuses on multi-cloud deployment, strengthening cloud intelligence development strategies, and simplifying management tasks in multi-cloud environments. The multi-cloud management product portfolio, Aria, is designed to make it easier for users to intuitively manage multi-cloud architectures and the cloud-native applications built within them.
The multi-cloud management product portfolio Aria ensures stable cloud platform operations through three categories of functions: VMware Aria Cost, VMware Aria Operations, and VMware Aria Automation. It also works with the Tanzu product portfolio to expand cloud-native application development and deployment, and enhances management capabilities for development, security, operations, and application usage. Centralized management and control are achieved through graphical interfaces such as Aria Graph and Aria Hub.
Users can use Aria Graph to capture normalized data from public and private clouds, as well as VMware and third-party tools, and centrally manage it through Aria Hub, which was renamed Project Ensemble last year. This simplifies the difficulty of managing data in multi-cloud architectures and allows users to establish automated operating models through normalized data.
For example, Aria Guardrails can be used to automatically execute protective measures based on network security, performance, and cost considerations. Alternatively, Aria Migration can be combined with the VMware HCX application migration and mobility platform to simplify the multi-cloud environment data migration process through automatic assessment and planning. In addition, Aria Business Insights can be used to analyze and understand the potential value of related data using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
This time, the focus is on the multi-cloud development model. VMware hopes to use the new Tanzu product portfolio and the multi-cloud management product portfolio Aria to make it easier for enterprise users to deploy and manage applications under multi-cloud architecture, thereby accelerating the enterprise's cloud transformation and the development of cloud-based intelligent applications.
