For the solution proposed in 2019 and continuously updated to simplify the user experienceTanzu Product PortfolioAt VMware Explore 2023, VMware announced that it will enable the Tanzu product portfolio to meet more development needs, simplify deployment and management processes, and continue to improve the operational efficiency of this product portfolio while reducing the cost of deploying enterprise application services.
In this update, VMware said it will enable application services to be developed and deployed faster across the Tanzu product portfolio, accelerate service execution efficiency, and make management and subsequent adjustments simpler.
Among them, more application services will be able to operate compatibly in the Tanzu product portfolio, and cloud deployment management will be simplified through an image-oriented visual approach, further simplifying the connection with third-party solutions, allowing enterprises to monitor the operation status of all services in real time and make responses and adjustments more quickly.
This time, support has been added for developers to create their own open source or extension programs, as well as compatibility with application development frameworks such as Microsoft .NET, Spring Framework 6 and Spring Boot 3. It also provides support for managing Kubernetes containerized applications deployed through the Azure cloud environment or built at the edge and can be connected to the AWS EKS managed service, thereby strengthening multi-cloud operation development.
At the same time, this update also allows Kubernetes containerized application construction and management costs to be more efficiently controlled. Through deep learning and artificial intelligence, it can dynamically predict whether to adjust the deployment scale of containerized applications and immediately resolve problems that occur in application operations. It can also continue to cooperate with Azure and AWS cloud service policies and make adjustments at any time to ensure that applications can continue to operate normally.
In addition, Tanzu Hub, combined with an automatically generated artificial intelligence chatbot that interacts with natural language, can not only assist in application management, but also simplify platform development and cloud operations management. This is also the first time VMware has applied automatically generated artificial intelligence to containerized application management, hoping to reduce the complexity of enterprises managing various multi-cloud services, while also ensuring data security through artificial intelligence.
