VMware earlier announced a strategic hybrid cloud partnership with Oracle, and is expected to provide the new Oracle Cloud VMware Solution service on Oracle's Oracle Cloud, allowing enterprises using Oracle's cloud services to easily execute workloads based on VMware technology.
By joining the collaboration with Oracle, VMware has also completed cooperation with major public cloud services in the market, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and IBM Cloud, allowing enterprises to deploy various cloud application services through VMware technology regardless of the public cloud service they adopt.
In collaboration with Oracle, enterprise users will be able to leverage Oracle or VMware's enterprise-class software and cloud solutions for cloud migration, and can run VMware Cloud Foundation on Oracle's cloud infrastructure, or migrate their workloads on VMware vSphere to Oracle's second-generation cloud infrastructure, thereby realizing the benefits of hybrid cloud applications.
Under this collaboration, Oracle will also become one of the partners of the VMware Cloud Provider program, and Oracle and its partners will sell Oracle Cloud VMware Solution solutions and provide related technical support.
