Vivo announced the launch of its flagship phone in May this yearX100 UltraAt the same time, it also launched its own "BlueImage" brand name. At the Imaging Festival event held earlier in the Chinese market, vivo also revealed that it will introduce the new Blueprint Imaging technology in its next flagship mobile phone, including vivo's self-made Blueprint photosensitive element built with a 22nm process, followed by vivo's self-developed Blueprint algorithm and a new Blueprint image processor.
In vivo's specific explanation, its self-developed Blueprint photosensitive element uses VCS 3.0 human eye bionic technology and Ture-TCG HDR imaging technology, allowing the mobile phone lens to more accurately restore the true colors and images seen, while further reducing the problem of image digital noise.
Powered by an AI model with over one billion parameters, vivo's Blueprint algorithm prioritizes enhanced image quality and color rendering, significantly increasing imaging speed and rendering telephoto images more realistic. The new in-house Blueprint image processor is expected to deliver even more realistic night scene performance than the current V10+ image processor used in the X100 Ultra, and enhance backlit portraits.
Vivo also emphasized that future imaging technology applications will develop towards security, 3D imaging, and XR technology applications. It also announced that it will launch its own mixed reality headset in 2025 and will collaborate with Rokid to launch a 3D imaging space album to record 3D photos taken with mobile phones. It also plans to make mobile phone images unalterable, traceable, and recognizable across devices, ensuring user ownership through image metadata content.
