vivo launched in the Chinese market last yearS20 series of selfie phones, it was launched in the Taiwan market today (2/26) under the name V50, but the specifications and design are slightly different.
The V50 features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ (2392 × 1080) AMOLED screen with a micro-curved display. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, 12GB of RAM, and comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options. It has a 6000mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging. It's available in Anchor Red, Glacier Purple, and Satin Black, and is IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistant.
As for the camera system, the V50 uses a 5000-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture Zeiss AF wide-angle front lens. The main camera is equipped with a 5000-megapixel, f/1.88 aperture Zeiss wide-angle lens with a 1/1.55-inch sensor, and a 5000-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture Zeiss ultra-wide-angle lens. It is also equipped with an AI soft light ring that can switch the color temperature between 1800K and 5000K. It also boasts an AI soft light studio algorithm that can simulate Rembrandt light and butterfly light lighting techniques to achieve a natural sense of light and shadow when shooting people.
However, vivo did not launch a model equivalent to the S20 Pro in the international market this time. The difference is that the Pro-level model uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, and the camera module has an additional 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5000x optical zoom, the same as the X3.
Like the S20 series launched in the Chinese market, the V50 also adds a Polaroid mode to its shooting function, with four built-in photo frames, from classic white borders to personalized signature frames, and can simulate four film texture filters, or instantly mark the date, time, location and personalized text.
