Previously announced high-end virtual vision head-mounted devicevivo VisionEarlier released by vivo as an Explorer Edition, the Vivo Vision features a lightweight design and immersive audio-visual experience, further expanding Vivo's presence in the spatial computing and XR device markets. Starting August 8nd, Vivo will offer trials of the Vivo Vision in 22 official Vivo experience stores in Beijing, Shenzhen, and other cities, with plans to expand to more cities across China. The Vivo Vision Consultant Program will also allow more users to participate in product experience and optimization.
Emphasize light weight and clear vision
The vivo Vision weighs only 398 grams, which is significantly lower than most virtual vision headsets on the market that weigh about 600 grams. The volume is also controlled at 83mm in height and 40mm in thickness, roughly similar to the appearance of a large full-face headset. The appearance adopts the "streaming mirror" and "floating micro-slit" design to make the body lines more simple while retaining the hidden module. The overall design is similar to Apple'sVisionProHighly similar.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Vision Explorer Edition is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 computing platform, providing higher performance and low latency. In terms of display technology, the vivo Vision Explorer Edition is equipped with a Micro-OLED screen with binocular vision up to 8K resolution and supports P3 wide color gamut.
To cater to the needs of users with different vision, vivo also provides magnetic myopia lens options ranging from 100 degrees to 1000 degrees. Through binocular calibration, the display effect of each device can achieve professional monitor-level color consistency.
The user experience is integrated with OriginOS Vision, coupled with 1.5-degree high-precision eye tracking and 26-degree-of-freedom gesture recognition, providing natural and intuitive eye-hand interaction. The head-mounted display has been ergonomically adjusted, with a dual-loop strap and multiple hoods for enhanced comfort during extended wear.
In terms of content applications, the Vision Explorer Edition emphasizes the "three-in-one" user experience of audio and video, games, and office.
The audiovisual experience offers an immersive viewing experience equivalent to a 120-foot giant screen, supports multi-device projection, and offers live sports content in partnership with Migu. It also allows for direct playback of spatial photos and videos captured with vivo phones. For gaming, in addition to its own MR games, "Table Drum Master" and "Little V's Travel," it also supports PC VR game streaming and mobile game projection, with enhanced controller tracking accuracy. For office scenarios, multi-window workstations can be created, and a color perspective mode with speeds under 13 milliseconds enables immersive multitasking.
Upgrading the Blueprint Image Strategy
Vivo also emphasized the upgrade of its "Blueprint Imaging" strategy, continuing to deepen its collaboration with Sony and Samsung on photosensitive components. Vivo also promoted the synergy between hardware and algorithms through its self-developed VS1 pre-processing chip and V3+ dual-chip architecture. In the future, the company will continue to introduce AI technology in multiple scenarios such as landscapes, portraits, and videos.
