The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) of the United States has issued a series of regulations on high frame rate and OLED displays.Update its certification standards, and launched a new display performance grading system, adding the current highest level certification ClearMR 21000 to the ClearMR project, and adding the DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification specification to the OLED display certification.
The ClearMR certification program, proposed for the dynamic blur performance of displays, mainly defines the evaluation value of the display clarity presentation effect during actual use.
This update mainly adds three new certification specifications: ClearMR 15000, ClearMR 18000 and ClearMR 21000. LG's recently launched gaming monitor UltraGear 27GX790A has become the first monitor product to obtain ClearMR 21000 certification. In addition, industry players including GIGABYTE and MSI will also launch monitors that meet the new certification specifications.
As for the DisplayHDR True Black certification specification for OLED displays' brightness performance, the newly added DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification specification increases the brightness certification specification to 1000 lumens while maintaining extreme black performance. Samsung is currently the only company to launch display products that meet this certification specification.
