VAIO earlier launched in Japan what it touted as the world's lightest external display accessory.VAIO Vision+ 14, weighing only 325 grams, with the thickest being only 12.4mm and the thinnest being only 3.9mm.
This external display can be used with a laptop. It is mainly designed for those who need an external screen, and its thin and light body makes it easy to carry around.
At the same time, the screen itself is designed with carbon fiber material, which is lightweight while maintaining a certain degree of durability. The screen can be kept upright through the built-in tripod, or folded into a stand using the screen protector and fixed on top of the laptop screen for use. Since it weighs only 325 grams, it will not cause any burden on the support.
The screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a 16:10 display ratio, can support 400 nits of brightness, and supports 100% sRGB display color gamut. It only requires 10W of power to operate and even supports USB-C PD power supply. While connected to the laptop, it can also be used with an external power supply of sufficient power to charge the laptop.
The "VAIO Vision+ 14" is currently only sold in the Japanese market with a suggested retail price of 54800 yen. A separate "VAIO Vision+ 14P" is also available for corporate purchases. However, it is not yet confirmed whether it will be sold in other markets.
