Therefore, the US government is discussing whether to include SMIC in the export ban list previously proposed by the Ministry of Commerce.
Since Huawei has already been affected by the new wave of bans, even its subsidiaries and related companies have been included in the banned list one after another. It is now rumored that SMIC may also be included in the banned list.
