Unity China officially unveiled itsUnity Engine Tuanjie Engine (Tuanjie Engine) version 1.7.3. This update brings several major upgrades, most notably TuanjieGI, the Unity ecosystem's first complete global dynamic real-time lighting solution, which boasts PC-level game lighting and shadow effects without pre-baking.
The new version focuses on three strategic directions: core rendering capabilities, cross-platform deployment capabilities, and AI integration capabilities. It also announced in-depth cooperation with Tencent Games to launch the AI Graph intelligent creation platform based on Tencent's Hunyuan large model capabilities.

Rendering Breakthrough: TuanjieGI Achieves Real-Time Global Illumination, "What You See Is What You Get"
In recent years, Chinese game art has emerged as a global force, highlighting the importance of rendering capabilities as a core engine metric. The TuanjieGI global dynamic real-time lighting system in Unity Engine 1.7.3 is a response to this trend.
TuanjieGI:
• Completely free from pre-processing constraints, you can process direct and indirect light instantly.
• Flexible ray tracing technology based on screen space and distance field.
• It is claimed to be able to present lighting and shadow effects close to film and television levels, and developers can cover the entire scene with just one click.
Furthermore, to enhance production efficiency, Unity China has introduced the "Unity Animation System," which utilizes node-based operations instead of code-based operations and features real-time previews. The special effects rendering process has also been enhanced, with a new, modern particle system that delivers rich visual effects while reducing performance overhead.
Cross-platform upgrade: "Develop once, release on multiple platforms" with enhanced virtual geometry and super-resolution technology
Unity Engine continues to enhance its cross-platform deployment capabilities, enabling "develop once, release to multiple platforms." This update includes the following:
Virtual Geometry Upgrades:
• Significantly improves cross-platform rendering capabilities, claiming to be able to smoothly render complex scenes with hundreds of millions of triangles on mobile devices.
• Redesigned the model import interface and optimized the shadow rendering method (GPU efficient culling).
• Comprehensively improve CPU and GPU execution efficiency.
Tuanjie Super Resolution (TJSR):
• Launched its own super-resolution technology with TAA anti-aliasing feature.
• Can automatically call native super-resolution processing capabilities (such as DLSS, FSR, XeSS, etc.) according to different hardware platforms.
Mini-game support enhancements:
• Added support for more platforms and channels including TapTap.
• Strengthen resource management and construction processes to support flexible configuration of resource formats on different platforms.
• Currently, there are more than 1500 mini-games developed based on the Unity engine.
AI Integration: Partnering with Tencent Hunyuan, AI Graph improves efficiency by 70% and reduces costs by 90%.
Another highlight of Unite 2025 is AI Graph, an AIGC workflow platform deeply integrated into the Unity Engine. By collaborating with large-scale models such as Tencent Hunyuan, it seamlessly integrates AI capabilities into game development.
AI Graph Features:
• Developers can call AI generation capabilities directly within the engine without switching external tools.
• Based on Tencent Hunyuan Big Model, it provides support in language understanding (AINPC, marketing copywriting), 3D generation (Hunyuan 3D 3.0, with 3 times improvement in accuracy), image generation, etc.
• It is claimed that actual testing can increase production efficiency by 70% and reduce costs by 90%.
• Generated assets automatically adapt to the engine specifications and rendering pipeline.
Ecosystem construction: Downloads exceed 50, and resource store is launched to promote sharing
Unity Engine has been online for nearly a year. Officially, it has been downloaded over 50 times, with monthly active users reaching a new high. It has also supported the development of more than 7843 mini-games and covered the smart cockpit systems of 30 new energy vehicle manufacturers.
To further serve the local community, Unity China simultaneously launched the "Asset Store", which not only supports the trading of traditional 3D models, materials, sound effects and other assets, but also encourages developers to share complete functional modules, technical solutions and game templates to promote technological innovation and knowledge dissemination.
