Ubitus announced that its cloud-based AI virtual character construction service system "UbiONE" has been selected for the 2024 subsidy under the DIGITAL+ "Digital Cloud Service R&D Subsidy Program" of the Digital Industry Administration of the Ministry of Digital Development.
"UbiONE" is a solution for creating AI virtual characters tailored for businesses and brands. It provides easy-to-use templates and backend management support to help users simplify the process of creating AI virtual characters, allowing brand customers to easily create AI virtual characters in various styles.
UbiONE, trained on a large Traditional Chinese language model, not only accurately represents Taiwanese culture but also understands character emotions and flexibly responds to interactive needs. Its extensive customization capabilities include support for character modeling, voice, and motion integration, and multilingual real-time interaction.
In addition, users can experience the interactive experience of virtual characters created by "UbiONE" through the browser without installing additional software.
Ubitus CEO Rongchang Guo said, "We are honored to receive this recognition from the Ministry of Digital Development. This not only demonstrates Ubitus's technological leadership in AI virtual characters, but also represents the Digital Industry Agency's recognition of the future potential of virtual human technology. We will continue to promote innovative cloud AI services, promote digital transformation, and use AI virtual character technology to create unlimited possibilities for other industries such as healthcare, finance, and retail."
UbiONE supports creators in creating their own AI-powered virtual influencers, enabling them to conduct long-term livestreaming interactions for diverse applications, including entertainment, e-commerce promotion, and even brand promotions. Furthermore, businesses can use UbiONE to create virtual characters that engage with natural conversations, are emotionally rich, and possess the ability to understand brand content, assisting with brand engagement, marketing promotions, and online customer service.
Currently, "UbiONE" has been successfully applied in multiple industries. Examples include Taiwan's first AI-driven virtual internet celebrity "Ubijiang". This virtual character has live-streamed online for more than 5000 hours, accumulated thousands of fans, and participated in many events at home and abroad, serving as a virtual host and receptionist, demonstrating rich digital interactive capabilities.
Another example is YesBear, the world's first AI tour guide for night markets, which provides cultural and food tours of Ningxia Night Market. In the education sector, it has partnered with the University of Tainan to launch the AI teaching assistant Taiyinghui, which assists in classroom teaching and provides real-time interactive learning in Taiwanese and English.
