according toThe Hollywood Reporter websiteUbisoft is reportedly planning an anime based on the Watch Dogs franchise, depicting a high school girl who becomes a super hacker and uses her skills to solve crimes. However, Ubisoft emphasized that the anime will be set in a different timeframe than the Watch Dogs series, while primarily drawing on the same story elements. The anime has yet to be officially titled.
Another animated work, "Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe", is created in a similar way, mainly referring to elements related to "Far Cry". The more special part is that this work will be produced by Adi Shankar, the director who was previously responsible for Netflix's original action work "Castlevania".
In addition to the aforementioned works, Ubisoft also plans to release more animated works, hoping to bring more game-related derivative works to more screens. It also hopes to deepen its connection with the film and animation markets, allowing the game market to develop while also opening up more product sales opportunities.
