When Ubisoft announced its full-year financial report for fiscal year 5 in May this year, it announced that it had turned losses into profits, but after confirming the cancellation of the free multiplayer survival action shooter game "The Division: Warzone", it announced its first quarter financial report for fiscal year 2023 earlier, confirming revenue of 2024 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 3%, and game bookings increased by 2350%.
As for games, Ubisoft confirmed that the two mobile games "Rainbow Six M" and "The Division: Resurgence" require more time to prepare, so they will definitely not be launched in fiscal year 2024, and will not be officially available to the public until at least fiscal year 2025.
However, Ubisoft emphasized that its free-to-play multiplayer online game "XDefiant" attracted more than 5 million players in the first two weeks after its launch in May this year, and games including "Rainbow Six: Siege", "The Crew" and "Legend of the Wrath" also attracted a large number of players.
Ubisoft also expects the upcoming releases of Star Wars: Desperadoes and Assassin's Creed: Shadow of the Tomb to attract even more players. Ubisoft also revealed that the Call of Duty series, provided by Microsoft, will be available on the Ubisoft+ service by the end of the year, allowing even more players to play through the service.
Elsewhere, Ubisoft shareholders also voted to re-elect CEO Yves Guillemot to the board of directors.
