Uber has previously testedAir taxi service Copter, earlier confirmed that it will be available to every Uber user in New York in October.
Originally, the Copter service was only available to Uber users who had accumulated platinum or diamond level memberships, but it is expected to be open to all Uber users in New York in October. This means that Uber's service has accumulated certain test results and can become an official service under Uber.
Uber currently provides Copter service between Lower Manhattan and John F. Kennedy International Airport, and is available during rush hour in the afternoon from Monday to Friday. When users use the Uber app in a specific area, they can see the Copter icon in the app, or be provided with an Uber car that can go to the helicopter boarding location.
Currently, the cost of a single transfer is between US$200 and US$250, but Uber has not yet provided further details on whether it will further expand the Copter service range or increase the number of ride-sharing users.
