Uber Taiwan announced a major personnel change today (January 13th), appointing Cesar Molina Leguia from Peru as General Manager of Uber Taiwan, effective immediately. Former General Manager Margarita Peker, after completing her term and leading significant growth in the Taiwan market, will be promoted to Head of Family Growth at Uber Global, continuing to leverage her leadership skills at headquarters.
With experience in international expansion, Cesar Molina Leguia led Uber to widespread success across South America.
The newly appointed General Manager, Cesar Molina Leguia, joined the Uber Group in 2019 and has served for nearly seven years, possessing over 15 years of experience in multinational business, foreign investment, and legal affairs.
Prior to taking over the Taiwan market, Cesar Molina served as General Manager of Uber Peru and Ecuador. His most notable achievement was leading the team to expand operations to nearly 50 new cities in the region and successfully launching several localized innovative products. This experience is undoubtedly a significant strategic asset for Uber, which is currently actively seeking to deepen its services beyond Taiwan's six major cities and promote diversified taxi services.

Regarding his arrival in the Taiwan market, Cesar Molina Leguia expressed a deep appreciation for the dynamism and potential displayed by Taiwan. He emphasized that, building on their existing solid foundation, they will continue to deepen their relationships with cities and partner fleets through a "pairing innovation and compliance" approach.
