Uber earlier inGo-Get 2025 campaignThe company announced many new services, including a car-sharing service called Route Share, which offers lower fares, as well as a service called Ride Passes for fixed commuting routes. It also announced a partnership with Volkswagen to launch a self-driving car ride service, which is expected to be first offered in Los Angeles, USA in early 2026.
In this update, Uber said it will help users further improve commuting convenience, reduce daily commuting costs, and make Uber services more accessible to the general public.
Among them, the newly launched Route Share allows drivers to provide ride-sharing services on the same route. It is similar in form to the previously launched UberX, but is only available on weekdays on the same route, providing single ride-sharing services at intervals of every 20 minutes. Up to two passengers can share a ride at a time, and the fare is 50% lower than UberX. At the same time, Uber stated that it will continue to study actual ride demand to enable users to easily commute during commuting.
To meet the needs of people who commute or attend classes on fixed routes, Uber has launched a new Ride Passes service, which includes a plan that allows rides on specific routes and is priced at $2.99 per month. Up to 10 frequently used commuting routes can be purchased each month, ensuring that fares will not increase due to weather, traffic or road construction factors within the one-hour commute. It also claims to save up to $1 per month.
Users can also choose to prepay for 5, 10, 15, or 20 commuting routes using the Ride Passes service, and can pay for the number of rides in advance, making the overall cost lower. In addition, Uber also plans to provide ride pass services for teenagers, making it more convenient for them to take a ride to and from school.

On the other hand, the new version of the commuter reminder and hub function can analyze the traffic conditions near the user's current home or company based on personal riding records, current contact with the driver, and current fare increases, and cooperate with artificial intelligence algorithms to remind users whether they should leave early or pay attention to whether the current fare has become more expensive. This feature is expected to be released this summer.
As for the adjustments to the Uber One subscription plan, the company has added the ability to rent cars using Uber Rent, and will receive an additional 10% Uber One points rebate when using Lime services. It also announced the launch of the first Uber One Membership Week event, allowing members to enjoy a week of great deals, promotions and huge discounts (this event is currently also being implemented in Taiwan).

In the Uber Eats service, users are now able to view restaurants that offer more discounted meals and grocery stores that sell discounted products, allowing users to save on daily expenses through a more intuitive price comparison method.
In addition, Uber Eats has also launched a service called Dine Out, which allows users to receive discounts for dining at specific restaurants through Uber Eats. It also cooperates with the restaurant subscription service OpenTable, allowing users in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia to use the OpenTable service to reserve restaurant seats through Uber Eats, and OpenTable VIP members can also use their points when using Uber or Uber Eats services.
At the same time, Uber also announced a partnership with Volkswagen to launch a self-driving car-sharing service, which will be first available in Los Angeles, USA in early 2026. The car model used will be the ID. Buzz AD, which is an all-electric and fully autonomous vehicle. The company also revealed plans to launch this service in more regions around the world.
