Uber earlier sent a letterAnnounceThe Uber Rewards program, which was launched in 11, will be discontinued on November 1st of this year. In the future, the main promotion will be the Uber Rewards program launched last year.Uber One subscription service.
The Uber Rewards program allows users of Uber or Uber Eats to earn points for every dollar spent, which can then be redeemed for discounts on rides or food delivery. Similar to airline mileage programs, Uber Rewards members can upgrade to higher tiers after accumulating a certain number of points. For example, accumulating 1 points equates to Diamond status, which grants premium customer service, free rides, priority access to drivers with the highest service ratings, and three free Uber Eats deliveries.
Although Uber has announced that it will terminate the points accumulation program after November this year, it emphasizes that users can still continue to accumulate points through Uber or Uber Eats services until the end of August this year, and can redeem points before the end of October this year.
In the future, Uber does not plan to replace Uber Rewards with other similar plans, but will focus on the Uber One subscription service launched last year, which will increase the usage of vehicle rides and food delivery services through greater discounts. Subscriptions will be available at US$9.99 per month or US$99.99 per year, and members will also receive premium membership access to customer service, special offers, and invitation-only experience content.
In order to attract more people to subscribe to the Uber One service, Uber will offer a one-month free trial of Uber One to users who currently use the Uber Rewards points accumulation program, thereby attracting more people to subscribe to this service.
