Notably, this feature fully supports the standards defined by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA)."Aliro" industry communication standardThis ensures an extremely high level of security protection.
Embracing the Aliro standard, the first wave of smart locks supports Nuki and Schlage brands.
In the past, many smart locks required their own brand's proprietary app to unlock, which not only filled mobile phones with various single-function applications, but also reduced the convenience of cross-device use.
To address this pain point, Samsung Wallet's "Digital Home Key" uses the Aliro standard communication protocol developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), meaning that any smart lock that conforms to the Aliro standard can theoretically be directly added to Samsung Wallet for unified management.
Samsung has confirmed that the first wave of supported brands will include globally renowned smart lock manufacturers Nuki and Schlage, as well as smart locks from brands such as Aqara and Ultraloq.
EAL6+ military-grade security certification, so you don't have to worry about losing your phone.
When it comes to putting "door keys" into a mobile phone, consumers are most concerned about cybersecurity.
Samsung emphasizes that the digital home key is designed to meet the stringent EAL6+ security certification standard (the highest standard currently available for smartphone hardware security chips). When using the digital key to open the door, the system will require the user to perform biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) or enter a PIN code to prevent unauthorized use.
In addition, if a user's mobile phone is lost or stolen, they can immediately log in to the "Samsung Find" function through another device to remotely manage, lock, or even completely delete the digital home key on the phone, ensuring that home security is watertight.
