HTC announced today (February 3rd) that, in order to allow its...VIVE Eagle AI Smart GlassesTo truly integrate into the user's all-day life, a limited edition "VIVE Eagle All-in-One Photochromic Lens" featuring German ZEISS optical technology will be launched.

Transparent indoors, instantly transforms into sunglasses outdoors! HTC launches the VIVE Eagle "All-in-One Photochromic Lens Model," collaborating with Zeiss to challenge all-day wearability.

This new product emphasizes "ultra-clear vision" and "rapid color change," aiming to solve the pain point of traditional smart glasses requiring frequent lens replacements or removal when switching between indoor and outdoor environments. The suggested retail price is NT$19888, and it is expected to officially go on sale on February 5th.

Zeiss finish: High light transmittance indoors, transforms into sunglasses in 24 seconds outdoors

The key selling point of this new version of VIVE Eagle is the use of Zeiss photochromic lenses.

According to official data, this lens has a light transmittance of up to 89.3% in indoor environments. This means that when worn in the office or at home, it is almost as clear as regular clear glasses, without the problem of old-fashioned photochromic lenses leaving a background color indoors, causing a darker field of vision.

Once outdoors and exposed to ultraviolet rays, Zeiss's AdaptiveSun intelligent photochromic technology can change color in just 24 seconds, reducing light transmittance to 14.9% (Category 3). This is equivalent to the light-blocking effect of a pair of high-end sunglasses, and it provides protection against ultraviolet rays across the entire spectrum.

Lunar New Year promotions start simultaneously

In addition to the photochromic lens version, HTC also announced that the "VIVE Eagle Sunglasses Lens" and "VIVE Eagle Anti-Blue Light Clear Lens" will be available on the official website starting today (February 3).

In conjunction with the Lunar New Year period, HTC has also launched a promotional event. From February 1st to February 28th, customers who purchase a VIVE Eagle from designated channels and complete the registration will receive a free magnetic charging cable worth NT$790.

Listing information summary:

• VIVE Eagle All-in-One Photochromic Lens: Suggested retail price NT$19888, available from February 5th at VIVE.com, 2020EYEhaus, Kobayashi Optical, and other retailers.

• Other styles: Sunglasses lenses/anti-blue light lenses, available for purchase on the official website starting February 3.
