Recently officially announced itsLarge-scale natural language model "Gemini"Google then provided a more in-depth explanation of the larger model, called Gemini Pro, that it offers to developers and businesses through Google Cloud's Vertex AI and AI Studio.
Google will provide Gemini Pro-related APIs through the Google AI Studio toolset, which is currently available through the Vertex AI platform on the Google Cloud platform. It will also provide Imagen 2, which can generate images from text descriptions, and will provide the MedLM natural language model to medical institutions in the United States through Google Cloud services, thereby creating various medical services that apply artificial intelligence.
In addition, Google has also confirmed that it will provide developers with more Duet AI security control projects, allowing developers to create various service functions that combine Duet AI functions in a safe and complete manner, and can be created in programming languages including C, C++, Go, Java, Javascript, Python, and SQL.
Duet AI for Workspace will also be open for use, and is expected to integrate the Gemini natural language model in 2024 and support multi-modal operations. It will also be applied to Gmail, Google Meet and Google Docs services.
From a software architecture perspective, Duet AI will sit at the top layer, serving as the user interface. Below this layer are Google AI Studio and Vertex AI, intermediating the interface and connecting to developer-owned or third-party APIs. Beneath this layer sits the Gemini natural language model and various AI infrastructures.
At the same time, Google emphasized that the input and output costs of its artificial intelligence models are 4 times and 2 times lower than those of its competitors, respectively. It also has the option of accessing artificial intelligence model application resources such as PaLM 2, Imagen and Gemini, and can quickly create application services through Google AI Studio, even responding to larger-scale usage needs.
As for the announcement of providing the Gemini Pro natural language model to developers, Google also announced that it will first provide Gemini Ultra to specific customers for early testing.
In addition, Google also announced a partnership with Mistral AI to introduce Google Cloud application services, and established an artificial intelligence technology partnership with Augmedix, which provides remote medical document solutions and on-site clinical support services. It also collaborated with Accenture, a provider of management consulting, information technology, and business process outsourcing, and HashiCorp, a software company that provides value-added business services, to introduce various types of automatically generated artificial intelligence technologies.
