Sony announced that it will launch new Inzone brand external monitors and headphones to meet the needs of the PC gaming market, respectively corresponding to the needs of playing games on its PlayStation 5 and PC models.
The product launched this time is made by Sony Electronics, rather than produced under the PlayStation brand. This means that Sony Electronics will add models that meet the needs of gaming to its existing headphone products. At the same time, it will also use its own TV technology to produce external monitor products specifically for gaming.
The external monitors designed for gaming this time include the top-end Inzone M9 and the Inzone M3, which is targeted at most usage needs. In addition to the appearance design corresponding to the gaming style, the screen pitch angle can also be adjusted.
Among them, the Inzone M9 adopts a 27-inch, 4K resolution design and an IPS display panel. It supports a 144Hz frame refresh rate and dynamic dimming, with a display delay time of only 1 millisecond. It itself complies with VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, supports 95% DCI-P3 wide color gamut display performance, and is even compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync anti-screen tearing display technology, corresponding to variable display rate (VRR), and provides an HDMI 2.1 connection port. It can support full HDR display effects when connected to PlayStation 5.
The Inzone M3 also supports NVIDIA G-Sync anti-screen tearing display technology, corresponds to variable display rate (VRR), and is compatible with the PlayStation 5. Its resolution is reduced to Full HD specifications, but it corresponds to a 240Hz frame refresh rate and a 1ms grayscale display response time, and it complies with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
As for the Inzone series of headphones launched this time, they include the high-end Inzone H9, the Inzone H7 that meets most usage needs, and the entry-level Inzone H3.
The Inzone H9 is equipped with active noise reduction function and supports wireless connection mode via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz frequency band. It also supports Spatial Audio panoramic sound output and is equipped with soft earmuffs, allowing users to wear it for a long time. The appearance also adopts a design language similar to PlayStation 5, and the maximum usage time can correspond to 32 hours.
The Inzone H7, designed for most usage needs, offers a maximum listening time of 9 hours compared to the Inzone H40. However, it lacks the Inzone H9's active noise cancellation, and the wearing experience is slightly different. The entry-level Inzone H3 features a more streamlined design and connects via a 3.5mm wired connection or USB. It also supports Tempest 3D AudioTech sound technology.
The Inzone M9 will be priced at $899 and is expected to be officially launched this summer, while the Inzone M3 is expected to be launched this winter with a suggested retail price of $529. In addition, the Inzone H9 has a suggested retail price of $299, the Inzone H7 has a suggested retail price of $229, and the Inzone H3 has a suggested retail price of $99. All three headphones will be available this summer.
