Last year, we provided a series of virtual reality headsets for VIVE series.VIVE Facial Expression Detection KitLater, HTC launched VIVE Focus 3 again.Corresponding Facial Tracker expression detection kit and Eye Tracker eye detection kit, allowing users to respond to more delicate expressions in virtual reality, or achieve more immersive interactive effects through eye tracking.
The Facial Tracker expression detection kit for VIVE Focus 3 will be sold for US$99 and can capture detailed movements of the user's lips, chin, cheeks, teeth and tongue at a frequency of 60Hz, allowing users to represent their own virtual portraits in virtual reality. It can instantly reflect the individual's current expression, and the response delay time is less than 10 milliseconds. It weighs only 11.6 grams and does not cause a noticeable burden during wear and use.
The Eye Tracker Eye Detection Kit, priced at $249, can track a user's gaze, blinks, and other movements in real time. HTC emphasizes that by faithfully tracking eye movements, virtual avatars representing individuals can become more lifelike, rather than just interacting with rigid expressions.
The Eye Tracker eye detection kit can also read the direction of the user's eye gaze. This data can make virtual reality object interactions more accurate, or through enhanced rendering and other methods, the virtual reality performance within the user's gaze range can be particularly enhanced.
In addition to providing more accessories that can sense users' facial expressions and eye movements, HTC has also previously provided corresponding accessories for wrist and foot motion sensing needs, allowing users' movements in virtual reality to be converted into various types of data, allowing developers to use corresponding design tools to create virtual reality application services with better interactive experiences.
