Google took the lead in cooperating with Samsung at the beginning of this year, and subsequently provided the use of more Pixel brands and Android phones.Circle search function Circle to Search allows users to quickly search for content displayed on the screen. This experience is now also available through the iOS platform's Shortcuts feature, allowing it to be used on any iPhone model that supports Shortcuts.
This shortcut setting was created by Minsang Choi, design manager of Google Lens, and is shared through iCloud. Users only need to browsethis link, and save the shortcut on iPhone for use with subsequent settings.
It utilizes the underlying visual search function provided by the iPhone model, combined with the shortcut function and the iOS version of the Google Lens App function. In addition, by specifying the corresponding execution action of "Back Tap" in "Settings" > "Accessibility" > "Touch" as a shortcut setting content, even the iPhone 15 Pro series models can be specified through the action button function, so that the iPhone can quickly automatically capture the screen and search through the Google Lens function.

However, compared to the circle search function on the Android platform, which can further search for specific image range content by circling, the search function implemented through shortcut settings on the iOS platform can only search by tapping. However, thanks to the object recognition function added by Apple to the iOS platform, users can additionally select image and text content in the screenshot content for search or translation. At the same time, the object recognition part also allows users to click on specific image parts instead of just searching the entire image.
