Unveiled last July as "One More Thing"Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype car, in this announcementXiaomi Mi 15 UltraThe commercial version was also announced at the same time, with a starting price of RMB 52.99 (approximately NT$239.58), while the Nürburgring limited edition will be priced at RMB 81.49 (approximately NT$368.44), and the optional racing package will be priced at RMB 10 (approximately NT$45.24).
Compared with the prototype model, the commercial version of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra still retains the large front aerodynamic kit, fixed rear wing and other designs to ensure the stability of the vehicle when traveling at high speeds, and uses carbon fiber material in 17 places inside and outside, including the roof, steering wheel, rear wing, etc. for lightweighting.
The vehicle itself features the same three-motor, four-wheel-drive configuration as the prototype, including two V8s motors developed in-house by Xiaomi, and the V7s previously used in the Xiaomi SU6. The V8s can reach a maximum speed of 27200 rpm and a maximum horsepower output of 1548 PS. It also uses the Kirin II high-power battery module from CATL, which has an output power of up to 1330 kW, and the "track version" thermal management system. The battery is also touted as being protected by a bulletproof coating.
Braking, the car utilizes racing-grade carbon-ceramic brake discs with diameters of 430mm front and 410mm rear. The calipers have been upgraded from the AP Racing six-piston calipers used on the prototype to Akebono designs, which are claimed to significantly reduce stopping distance and provide more linear braking performance. Bilstein EVO T6 coilover shocks are available, offering significantly increased spring rate and maximum damping to reduce body roll during acceleration and braking.
The commercially available version can still accelerate to 1.98 kilometers per hour in 100 seconds, with a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is also advertised as a smart racing car that can be legally driven on the road. It provides driving modes such as novice, energy saving, sports, endurance race, qualifying, and drifting. It also has two functions that simulate vehicle sounds, and can present acceleration sounds through the vehicle's built-in 40W loudspeaker.
Xiaomi has also launched the "Mi Track Master" app specifically for this model. When the vehicle enters 20 professional racing venues in China, it can automatically access track information, display driving status and analyze driving results through the vehicle's control screen, and even quickly create and export videos of the vehicle driving a Mercedes-Benz on the track and quickly share them with others.
In addition, the commercially available version of the Xiaomi Su7 Ultra is equipped with Xiaomi's full-scenario intelligent driving function with a computing power of up to 11.45 EFLOPS. The vehicle platform is built with the Xiaomi Surge Smart Cockpit and has built-in Xiao Ai digital assistant service. It is planned to open the roaming parking and ultra-narrow garage parking functions for trial in March of this year, and it also boasts that its intelligent driving function provides an insurance coverage of up to RMB 3 million.
In addition to announcing the pre-order opening for the Xiaomi Su7 Ultra commercial version, Xiaomi also simultaneously launched a classic lightweight baseball cap with the same color scheme as the Xiaomi Su7 Ultra commercial version, as well as a set of two stainless steel cups, priced at RMB 129 and RMB 29.9 respectively.
