As Elon Musk plans to turn "X", formerly known as Twitter, into a universal app, he seems to have begun testing the use of "X" for live gaming and online live shopping.
Judging by Elon Musk's 3-minute Diablo IV livestream from the anonymous account @cyb3rgam420r54, "X" plans to attract more gamers and creators through its game livestreaming feature. X engineer Mark Kalman even provided a video explaining how X Premium subscribers can connect their OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)-compatible livestreaming software to their "X" accounts via X Media Studio, allowing them to livestream their games directly from their accounts.

Prior to this, "X" had already added an advertising revenue sharing function for X Premium service subscribers (formerly Twitter Blue paying users). As long as the content posted attracted more clicks and views, the corresponding traffic could be exchanged for advertising revenue, thereby attracting more creators and influencers to publish content through "X", thereby generating more content traffic.
The newly added game live streaming function is obviously also based on the scale of game market players and the extremely high content reach performance. Therefore, it hopes to attract huge viewing traffic by adding more game live streaming.
Meanwhile, "X" appears to be planning to attract more traffic and potentially generate more revenue through livestream shopping. Earlier, American socialite and Hilton Hotel heiress Paris Hilton announced a partnership with "X" to produce four original video content projects, including a livestream shopping program.

However, market opinion questions whether "X" is currently capable of supporting the huge online live streaming traffic. It has previously laid off a large number of employees and streamlined many assets. If "X" hopes to create greater viewing traffic through large-scale live streaming content, it must make sufficient advance preparations, otherwise it may face problems such as unstable live streaming and interruptions.
