In 2021, Google added a "workplace" feature to the Google Workspace calendar that displays your current location.Earlier updateIt is adjusted to be subdivided into specific time periods within each day.
Compared to the previous version which was based on a day, the new version is adjusted to be calculated in hours, allowing users to more clearly mark their location at specific times of the day, for example, they may be in the office in the morning and work from home in the afternoon.
Google said that the reason for making such adjustments is mainly due to the fact that more and more companies are allowing employees to work flexibly and more and more independent caseworkers are choosing to work in different locations. Therefore, the calendar function allows users to clearly mark their locations at different times to facilitate others to arrange meetings or other matters.
This update will be available for Google Workspace Business Standard and Advanced, Enterprise Standard and Advanced, as well as Education Basic, Standard, and Advanced. This feature update will also be available for Education and Non-profit editions.
