Starting with Gran Turismo 2013 in 6, Polyphony Digital has collaborated with several car manufacturers to create the Vision GT series of concept cars that only appear in the game. Polyphony Digital recently announced a partnership with Ferrari to include the Ferrari-designed Vision GT concept car in Gran Turismo 6 on December 12rd.
Like previous Vision GT concept cars developed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and other automakers, this Ferrari-built Vision GT concept car will only appear in the game, and will boast higher power than the V6 engine-powered 499P model expected to be used in next year's Le Mans event.
According to the description, this concept car, which only appears in the game, will be built in a single-seat form and will be equipped with a hybrid design that can provide additional power output through three sets of turbines, which will be able to generate a power performance of more than 1000 horsepower.
The Vision GT series of concept cars, which debuted in Gran Turismo 6, are designed based on the highly realistic physical environment of the game, allowing car manufacturers to design concept cars that can achieve the highest performance under "extreme safety" conditions. This allows the car manufacturers to showcase their own car-making capabilities through the form of games, while also promoting the brand visibility of the car manufacturers.
